On 2/1/10 we adopted a dog from Used Pets, a group that rescues dogs from LA-area animal shelters.
Their dogs are often featured on the Bonnie Hunt show, and you can see a video of Winky here.
His name is "Winky", and yes, it's because he has only one eye (he lost an eye to a big dog before he was sent to the animal shelter).
We think he is a schnoodle (schnauzer/poodle mix), though has very silky fur, so may also have some silky terrier in him. Like Mini, he is around 3 years old, and he is all of about 15 lbs.
Update: After a few months being treated for a congenital condition, Winky passed away gently on 2/12/2018.
We think he was probably older than we originally thought, and we enjoyed a wonderful 8 years living with his confident and affectionate disposition.
